Why should an independent contractor/home-based travel agent choose your host agency over the many others out there today?

What makes your agency unique in terms of the services you offer to your independent contractors?

Answer
Luxury Travel Network is focused on luxury. We offer our ICs an amazing array of exclusive packages that give them the opportunity to further increase their value among their customers. We negotiate with various suppliers to provide ICs with itineraries and prices that are difficult for the competition to beat.

What makes your agency unique in terms of the support you offer to your independent contractors?

Answer
We have the resources to offer support that is unsurpassed with IC networks. Our staff includes travel professionals who have been Independent Contractors, so they understand this business. Calls are answered by a live support specialist and if a return call is necessary, this occurs the same day, not a week later.

Can you detail the type of training opportunities available to all of your independent contractors?

Answer
After completing the required training on our exclusive software, Travelconnect, all new ICs are entitled to receive detailed training material explaining all aspects of our program. All ICs receive fundamental support from our staff via telephone and email for any questions they may have. We offer extensive training programs involving suppliers, tourism boards and other travel industry leaders, familiarization trips, seminar-at-sea programs and an annual Partners In Travel convention that consists of non-stop training, supplier trade show, supplier presentations and open forum round table discussions between all members.

Is a significant level of experience required to be a Luxury Travel Network agent?

Answer
Yes. Not only is significant experience required, but your experience must be at a minimum of 3 years in the luxury market.

Answer
There are numerous reasons why ICs are attracted to Luxury Travel Network. ICs know they are stable and secure with us. Our exclusive packages also attract several ICs since they are hard for the competition to beat. Can agents in your network obtain a CLIA card?

Answer
Travel Agent identification cards are issued by the Cruise line International Association to bona fide travel agents who fulfill their educational requirements.


Question
Can agents in your network obtain an IATAN card?

Answer
Travel agents identification cards are issued by the International Airlines Travel Agent Network for bona fide travel agents who achieve a minimum of $5,000 in earned commissions in a 12 month period.


Question
Do you supply "ID" cards for your agents?

Answer
In keeping with the ethical standards of the travel industry, we do not supply our agents with internally generated ID cards.
